Requirements: Outlook
Note: This has been tested using Mozilla Firefox 2.0, Outlook 2003. It will probably work fine with older and newer versions of both, but I just wanted to let you guys know what I tested it on.
Instructions:
- Right click on any of the files to the left and click "save link/target as" and save it to your desktop (i.e. 2009Holidays.csv)
- Open Outlook and select "File" then "Import/Export"
- Select "Import from another program or file" then click Next
- Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" then click Next
- Click "Browse" to find and select the 2009Holidays.csv file on your desktop then click Next
- Highlight and select "Calendar" as your destination and (NOTE: Make sure you are in your personal calendar, and not Archives calendar, archives will not hurt anything, the entries just will not show up, and you will just re-do it) then click Next
- On the next screen click on the "Map Custom Fields" button to the right
- Click on the all capital words and drag them over the words on the right, and map them according to this simple chart.
- SUBJECT to Subject
- START DATE to Start Date
- START TIME ET to Start Time
- END DATE to End Date
- END TIME ET to End Time
- REMINDER ON OFF to Reminder on/off
- Click OK
- Then Click Finish - then Smile that you didnt have to enter them by hand, and send this link to anyone that celebrates holidays or watches football.
